GeographyCensus Division No.5 is located in south western Manitoba approximately 170 kilometres southwest of the City of Brandon, and is bordered by the U.S.A. border on the south and the Saskatchewan Border on the west.
The 1996 population of this Census Division was 14,770. The Census Division area is made up of the Towns of Boissevain, Deloraine, Hartney, Killarney and Melita, the Village of Waskada, and the Rural Municipalities of Albert, Arthur, Brenda, Cameron, Edward, Morton, Riverside, Strathcona, Turtle Mountain, Whitewater, and Winchester.
The major urban service centres in the area are the towns of Boissevain, Deloraine, Hartney, Killarney and Melita.
