Located just 60 minutes east of Winnipeg, The Rural Municipality of Reynolds is ideally situated in the eastern corner of the province. Comprised of small hamlets of Richer East, Ste. Rita, Molson, Rennie, Hadashville, Prawda, McMunn and East Braintree, the population of the municipality is approximately 1314 residents. River systems in the municipality include the Brokenhead, the Hazel, the Whitemouth, the Birch and the Boggy rivers.
Four major highways pass through the municipality, including the Trans Canada Highway, the Provincial Trunk Highways 15, 11 and 44. Reynolds is also accessed by three railway companies: Canadian National, Canadian Pacific and the Greater Winnipeg Water District.
The municipality is blessed with four forest reserves within its boundaries. These reserves include the Sandilands, Agassiz, Whiteshell and North West Angle. The land types vary in the municipality from gravel/sand, to peat, forest and farmland.
Economic Base
Reynolds presents many new opportunities for innovative business ideas. At present, the municipality is working on natural gas expansion through the North Eastman Regional Cooperative Gas Committee.

Major Attractions
Enjoy camping and canoeing along the Whitemouth, Birch and Boggy rivers. The natural beauty found along these rivers makes it all worthwhile. Sandilands Forest Reserve Museum will allow you to appreciate the natural beauty in the R.M. of Reynolds. Crosscountry skiing and hiking down the numerous trails in the forest reserve will be a treat for all nature lovers.
Fishing along any of Reynold's rivers is always a popular event, especially at the Reynold's Trout Ponds. The ponds will guarantee a great catch.
Before going to the beaches in the Whiteshell, stop at East Braintree and visit Midwinter School. Built in 1917, the school has been restored and designated as a Heritage Site.
Rennie, the Gateway to the Whiteshell, provides one of the most scenic views of Canada geese and other water birds. The community boasts the resting and feeding grounds of the Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary.

Facilities - Recreation, Parks, Culture
Beginning in January, take part in the Prawda Poker Derby that features a 32-mile groomed snowmobile trail, a pancake breakfast, bingo, hot meals and dancing at night.
Rennie's Winter Fun Carnival in February features children's activities, an indoor poker derby and a bingo and cribbage tournament.
East Braintree hosts a Tea & Bazaar at the Midwinter School in August.
July is a busy month, featuring three community events beginning with the Children's Festival in Rennie.
Ste. Rita hosts an annual picnic, while Hadashville hosts a Sports Weekend.
