The Rural Municipality of Roblin is located in beautiful south central Manitoba and can be conveniently reached along Provincial Trunk Highways 5 and 3. Roblin is only 70 kilometres to the U.S.A. border crossing in the Town of Boissevain.
The Village of Carthwright, Roblin's largest centre, is located at the junction of both these highways. The Community of Mather is the another significant community found in Roblin.
History
Roblin and the Village of Cartwright have a very rich heritage that both communities are proud of.
Cartwright was first built along the Boundary Commission/NWMP Trail. The village was seen as being the "stopping place" for the trail along the municipality's Badger Creek. The location of Cartwright moved in 1885 when the Canadian Pacific Railway was built one mile south of the existing town.
This strong pioneer spirit in Roblin allowed the municipality and the Village of Cartwright to quickly grow, and attract new settlers within its borders. That same pioneer spirit is found throughout the municipality today, with residents working hard to get on-line with today's new technologies.
