Geography

The Rural Municipality of Odanah is nestled between Riding Mountain National Park and Manitoba's second largest city, Brandon. Odanah is found in a gentle rolling landscape riddled with a multitude of wetlands and marshes. These wetlands are home to some of the richest duck breeding grounds in the world.

The communities of Cordova and Moore Park are found within the RM of Odanah. Odanah is reached along Provincial Trunk Highway 10 (The Yellowhead trail)or Provincial Road 465 and 466.

Economic Base

The economy in Odanah is primarily driven by agriculture, with the majority of its residents employed in farming, or agricultural related businesses. Seed cleaners are prominent in the municipality, with the region boasting 3 such operations.

With the completion of a water pipeline and a distribution system in the municipality, it is expected that the economic situation in Odanah will see healthy growth in the near future.

Major Attractions

One of the region's largest recreational draws is the nearby Minnedosa Beach Campground. The campground features picnic areas, a beach, playground and scenic nature trails.
