The Rural Municipality of Silver Creek is located in the beautiful western region of Manitoba known as Parkland. Located along Provincial Trunk Highway 45, the municipality is approximately 163 kilometres northwest of Manitoba's second largest city, Brandon.
Provincial Roads 478 and 476 also service the municipality. The communities of Silverton and Angusville are the two significant communities in Silver Creek, with Angusville being the larger of the two.
History
Silver Creek was officially incorporated as a municipality in 1884. The Parkland region, in which Silver Creek finds itself is a mix of good agricultural farmlands, forest and many little lakes.
Economic Base
Besides the various agricultural operations in the region, one of the more prominent employers is Pizzey's Milling and Baking. Based out of Angusville, this operation specializes in the baking of Flax bread and Flax bread products. The company employs roughly 18 people.
As the service centre for the municipality, Angusville provides basic services such as a Credit Union, a restaurant and a clothing store. Residents must travel to the nearby Town of Russell for a wider range of services.

While visiting Silver Creek and its communities, don't forget to stop by the always-popular Silver Beach Resort. This Resort has something for the whole family. The Trans Canada Trail (passing through the Rossburn subdivision) is an excellent opportunity for all to get active!
